Thanks to the extra headroom and larger windows, a loft becomes a proper bedroom, office or children's room.
A well-insulated dormer also helps keep warmth inside and can contribute to lower energy costs. Under the Dutch Building Decree, a dormer must achieve a minimum insulation value of Rc 6.3 for the roof and Rc 4.6 for the side walls.

The flat-roof dormer is the most common model and comes in several styles: classic, modern or distinctive. Where there is enough space and the roof meets the right conditions, you can also opt for a dormer with a tiled roof.
Classic flat roof
A traditional, timeless design. Rainwater drainage runs along the side of the dormer, and colour-matched awning guides are mounted on the fronts.
Modern flat roof
Extended fronts, a deeper-set frame and robust side panels give this model a bold look. Integrated rainwater drainage and guides create a refined design.

Precise measuring and, where needed, the permit
Once the quote is approved, we carry out the survey. We take precise measurements, produce the technical drawings and check whether planning permission is required. If needed, we manage the whole permit process so everything is carried out correctly and in line with the applicable rules.
