Living in Barendrecht
Barendrecht’s housing vision describes a commuter town that grew rapidly, above all through the addition of Carnisselande. As a result, homes from different construction periods stand close together: the older core around Centrum and Noord, the post-war neighbourhoods through to the 1980s, and the later expansion south of the A15.
The year of construction does not automatically dictate the solution. It does tell us what to look at more closely during the survey: the condition of the existing frame, cold draughts at the glazing, ventilation, how the frame meets the brickwork, and the appearance of the façade as a whole. Around two thirds of Barendrecht’s homes are owner-occupied; in apartments we first establish whether the frames belong to you or to the owners’ association. There are also dike houses with distinctive façades, bay windows or leaded glass; there we pay extra attention to appearance.

Carnisselande is Barendrecht’s major scale jump. Meerwede was built from the late 1990s, Vrijenburg mainly after 2000. Façades and window layouts differ more from street to street. We match colour, woodgrain finish, glazing bars and window type to the architecture and to how you use each room.
Advice per opening
During the appointment we look at more than the exterior. We discuss room by room how each window is used, where ventilation is needed, and whether noise, sun or security deserve extra attention. We then take final measurements, and you receive a quotation specifying the profile, glazing, operation and installation.
Soleca works largely with the Aluplast Ideal 7000 NL profile, and 42 mm HR+++ glazing is our standard on new frames. Every RAL-certified colour is available, and locks and hardware are supplied to SKG** as standard; SKG*** is available for a small surcharge.

Practical matters
The municipality and RVO always remain the authority. Below is what matters for a homeowner in Barendrecht, and where to check the current conditions.
Whether replacing window frames needs consent depends on the address, whether the frame faces a public road, how much the façade changes, and any listed status. The municipality of Barendrecht refers homeowners to the permit check in the Omgevingsloket. If in doubt, you can request an environment meeting or a concept request.
We assess what changes technically during the survey, but the municipality decides whether a permit is required. For that reason we make no general assurance before the address and the plan have been checked.
Insulating glazing may qualify for the national ISDE grant, subject to conditions. RVO sets the current requirements and amounts. The municipality of Barendrecht also runs a voucher scheme for glazing insulation in owner-occupied homes. That voucher is redeemed with glaziers appointed by the municipality; Soleca is not on that list. Always check the municipal page yourself.
The municipality also refers residents to the Regional Energy Desk for independent insulation advice. Soleca supplies the product and insulation data an ISDE application may require, but cannot guarantee that a grant will be awarded.

That depends on the existing façade, the window division and how the rooms are used. In the later neighbourhoods of Carnisselande, such as Meerwede and Vrijenburg, the streetscape often differs from road to road. We match colour, profile, ventilation and the choice between fixed and tilt-and-turn windows to each home.
Not through our installation. Barendrecht’s voucher scheme is redeemed with glaziers appointed by the municipality; Soleca is not on that list.
